The city of Alwar in Rajasthan is surrounded by the Aravali Hills and is popular because of the Sariska National Park. Of all the Rajput kingdoms, Alwar was most close to the imperial Delhi. Alwar was the former capital of princely state of Alwar in British India. Alwar is around 160 km from south of Delhi and about 150 km from Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan.
The Sariska National Sanctuary and Tiger Reserve is located in the Aravalli Hills and is very close to Alwar. Alwar also has a lot many other places to see like the Alwar Fort, Tiger Resort, Silliserh Lake, Jaisamand Lake, Hanuman Temple, museum, city palace and much more.
